One of the best beatboxers in Europe, maybe the world, comes from Turku, Finland and his name is Felix Zenger.

He released his debut album Won’t Say a Thing last years and if you’re even the slightest into this stuff I highly recommend it.

The music video here is for the song Pitkät Päivät Täällä (= long days here) and so far it’s the only official video release from that album. But it’s quite a special song and video.

Besides Felix doing all the background beats ‘n stuff, the song also features one of Finland’s best rappers in finnish according to me; Asa. It also features now deceased singer Kari Tapio, who was a true musical legend in Finland. Pitkät Päivät Täällä actually become his very last recording, and one of the most memorable songs he has ever done. He died six weeks after recording the vocals.

Felix is by the way one of few, maybe the only one, who has majored in beatboxing from a musical school. At least in Europe. He started out on piano, but his teachers soon discovered that he spent more time with hiphop and beatboxing. So they suggested that he changed his major subject, and so he did.

He has also been the Footbag champion of Finland and participated in the Footbag World Championships a couple of times. He came third in the World Championships of 2005.
